Neri Relais & Châteaux
Hotel Neri is one of my all time favorite places to stay in the entire world. Of course, there are many hotels sporting a varying numbers of stars, but every now and then when traveling, you come across a place unlike any other. A place that captures the essence of hospitality like an art, that creates a sort of ease and comfort that is so subtly elegant it’s difficult to define. Hotel Neri is one of those perfect places.
Of course there’s design with impeccable care to detail, there’s the little things that make traveling like home, (or better yet the home you aspire to), but no matter the grandeur, quaintness or style, it’s the gracious and truly genuine welcome and capable staff that seems to be the most delineating factor. At Hotel Neri the kind and professional staff are unmatched, they offer true hospitality that makes you feel as though you have been made at ease at a friends home rather then simply helped by people that work there.
It can’t go without mention, that Hotel Neri is one of those rare hotels that truly invests in fine quality bedding. Its crisp, downy and sumptuous beds deliver unparalleled sleep quality.
The rooftop at Hotel Neri is garden-like, small but relaxing, a perfect slice of paradise.
The Hotel’s interiors are made remarkable by integrating art immaculately into the age old stonework of the original structure. There are a dreamy mix of intimate cozy hideaways alongside open, expansive spaces that bring in natural light.
The restaurant and library at Hotel Neri are each unique and lovely havens that allow you to truly unwind, and to escape the bustle of the city while still feeling immersed in the beauty of it.
Hotel Neri, is comprised of two historic buildings, one of them a 12th century medieval palace. The Hotel’s location at Sant Felip Neri Square is central to exploring the gothic quarter, and is just steps away from the Catedral de Barcelona where the squares are full of musicians and performers. From here you can get lost, if you choose, in the Gothic Quarters enchanting, narrow streets full of shops.
Hotel Neri is one of those magical places that, should you be lucky enough to stumble across it amongst the abundance of hotel offerings in Barcelona, proves itself indelibly memorable. Impressive yet understated just enough to make it legitimately cool, establishing itself as the echelon of accommodations in Catalonia, for those in the know only.
