Our story begins some time ago, In the 70’s the old teatro Cardona was transformed into a luxury hotel, one of the first and flagship of NH Hotels. A fun detail: The architect for the rooftop was perturbed that a load bearing wall prevented him from making best use of the view of La Sagrada Familia, so he used small openings and clever reflection to bring the view into the bathrooms. The result is that when you sit in the restroom, if you look up, the skyline along with La Sagrada Familia are before you, as mirrors cleverly bring the skyline right into the room.
NH Barcelona Calderon’s interiors are retro-modern, defined by bright whites, accented by chrome and finished with a pop of red. Some upper rooms enjoy sweeping private decks with incredible, unmatched views of the city.
Notably, a historic mosaic from the 70’s adorns the exterior of the hotel making this unique building a landmark in L’Eixample.

As you enter the hotel, a digital water fall cascades down several floors and a stair appear as if to float down from the upper levels, ushering you to step out of the sun, relax and unwind.
